For the past two and a half years, I have been working to create delightful and usable products at a startup, April Labs. As the Lead UX Designer, I spearheaded numerous successful projects, including the redesign of the mobile app and the website, resulting in higher retention rates and engagement rates. Calling on my background in academic research, I led and managed user research at April where I employed various research methodologies which guided my design thinking and translated them into actionable insights.

I graduated with my B.S. in Cognitive Science with an emphasis on AI and HCI from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2021. During undergrad, I was a Research Assistant in the Human-Robot Interaction research lab where I collaborated on a research project that examined the relationship between humans’ perceived curiosity of a robot and the degree to which humans’ were willing to help that robot based on their perception.

Outside of UX, I enjoy playing parlor games with my friends, working on crosswords and sudokus, and taking care of my plants!
